The Agriturismo is located under the slope of eastern side of Majella’s mountain, in the middle of National Park, being therefore an ideal start point for excursions along the several tracks of the Park. The farmhouse is about 30 Km from the Maielletta, where in winter at more than 2000 meters of altitude, there are wonderful amazingly covered in snow ski slopes. Besides, we are about 30 km far from Adriatic coast, where you can find sandy beaches such as Casalbordino, Lido delle Morge, Vasto, Francavilla and so on.Just near Bomba you can find several pool halls such as for example the Acquatica center, where there is a swimming pool, dove è presente una piscina and it’s also possible to sky surf, rent canoes, archery and make boat trips on the lake. Besides there are many historical and religious villages and cities such as Guardiagrele, Chieti, Pescocostanzo, Sulmona, Lanciano and its “Miracolo Eucaristico”, and so on.The farming of Agriturismo L'Uliveto takes place on 10 hectares of land. Olive trees are the main resource, from which to produce an excellent olive oil and brine olives. Besides there are cereal and fodder farming for breeding of animals such as cows, which give good milk used for the breakfast or to produce cheese, calfs, chicken, rabbits, sheep and suines, the meat of which is cooked and served at the food court.Into the farmhouse there are 9 double rooms for overall 18+7 bed places, in 4 rooms it’s possible to add a pullout bed and in 2 rooms we can add 2 more little beds. The streets and palazzi of the Borgo are rich with arches, logge, courtyards and doorways carved in late medieval and renaissance stonework. The skyline is marked by the great crenellated watchtower that dominates the village at its highest point and from which breathtaking views of the surroundings mountains and valleys can be had.
In the XV and XVI centuries Santo Stefano di Sessanio fell under the control first of the Sienese Piccolomini family and then of the Medici of Florence. Memories of their dominion are still present in the architecture of our town and most specifically in the shield of the Medici family prominently placed above the main entrance gate.

Just 3 km. from Santo Stefano you can visit the Rocca di Calascio, which at 1500 m. above sea level is arguably the highest fortress in Europe. Built by the Piccolomini in the XV century as a watchtower to control the entire surrounding area, at least ten others fortifications are within its line of sight. Some may recognize the Castle from the film Lady Hawke starring Michelle Pfeiffer. From the top one can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Gran Sasso.

This modern villa has been restored from an older property and completely upgraded with new appliances and furniture, and painted throughout during Easter 2010. It is child friendly. Situated between two villages on its own hilltop yet within easy reach of all amenities, this villa is perfect both for people seeking a quiet relaxing getaway and those looking for active outdoor pursuits which are plentiful in the surrounding area. The villa is on three floors, has a very large patio (floodlit for night time dining) with a swimming pool and also a roof terrace for evening dining. There is a large dining table (not shown) on the patio that seats 10 people and which looks out over stunning mountains and valleys. Balconies from the bedrooms give individual privacy and extra space. The only neighbours are the sheep from the nearby farm where you can buy their own homemade sheep and goats cheese. Relax and cool off in the swimming pool on the patio, which is above ground level, (5 metres wide, 1.2 metres high) while sipping a glass of wine and taking in the magnificent views of the mountains and valleys all the way to the sea. Beyond the terrace is the hillside garden sloping down away from the house. The garden is stocked with many fruit trees such as olives, cherries and persimmons, perfect for a little snack or addition to your menu when in season.

I rent for short periods a beautiful apartment right in the historical center of my city, Sulmona, it is all furnished with air conditioning and cable TV. It has all the conforts to make anybody feel at home. That is why it is called THE HOUSE OF THE HEART . it is 110 square meters big and can host 6 people. Sulmona is right in the center of my region, It gave birth to the famous latin poet Ovid . Abruzzo, so we are close to mountains, lakes, ski resort and the Adriatic sea. Car is not requested since the apartment is close to the bus stop, and train station. No need to say that food in this region is the best along with wine. Once you will make this experience, you will allways come back, there is so much to see when it comes to old towns with castles, up on top of really high hills, that they don't seem real. Welcome to Casa del Ruscello:
Renovated in traditional Italian style, Casa del Ruscello is a self catering holiday home nestled in the foothills of Mount Maiella, one of the National Parks of Abruzzo on the Adriatic coast of Italy.
Enjoying panoramic views across a valley, the house comfortably sleeps 9 and is situated amongst olive groves and vineyards. All general amenities are available locally, the beach is 35 minutes away, skiing is a 45 minute drive and Pescara airport just 60 minutes. There is also a swimming pool at a nearby B&B which our guests can use for a small daily charge.
The house:The house sleeps 9 comfortably and comprises the following accommodation:
Ground floor: Entrance hall/sitting room with french doors to patio; Kitchen/dining room with french doors to patio, steps up to utility room with washing machine and shower room with WC, shower and basin.
First floor: Stairs from sitting room below open into the second lounge, with open fireplace, equipped with TV and DVD player, corridor leading to twin room and up 4 steps to master bedroom with king size bed, single bedroom and family bathroom comprising bath, WC, bidet and basin.
Second floor: Stairs from sitting room below open to small landing with doors to 2x twin rooms, both with en suite shower rooms comprising large showers, WC, bidet and basin.
All bedrooms have either a wardrobe or chest of drawers for storage. A travel cot, child's booster seat and variety of plastic cups/plates are all available for guests to use.
Outside:
There is parking next to the house both in front and behind (for 2 to 3 cars) and parking is also available on the road in our very quiet cul-de-sac! There is an outside seating area which wraps around the house but currently the rest of the garden is not landscaped or particularly usable.
