We are a family business, located in the beautiful Abruzzo region, near the nature of the Abruzzo National Park and numerous nature reserves near the coast of Francavilla, Ortona, Vasto and only 18 km. From ski slopes Passolanciano and breast. Our farm is a construction made from 80% in 1950 from stone slaughter. We like to offer our guests relaxing and joyful stay in our rooms furnished in traditional rustic, all with private entrances and adapted for disabled use.We also have an area for families with children. Our restaurant is extremely popular, especially for our accommodations who will love the taste of our cuisine with our traditional foods accompanied by our wine Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and also from white wine Pecorino.The farm Montupoli has a total of 11 rooms all furnished with the art of Abruzzo. The Agriturismo is located under the slope of eastern side of Majella’s mountain, in the middle of National Park, being therefore an ideal start point for excursions along the several tracks of the Park. The farmhouse is about 30 Km from the Maielletta, where in winter at more than 2000 meters of altitude, there are wonderful amazingly covered in snow ski slopes. Besides, we are about 30 km far from Adriatic coast, where you can find sandy beaches such as Casalbordino, Lido delle Morge, Vasto, Francavilla and so on.Just near Bomba you can find several pool halls such as for example the Acquatica center, where there is a swimming pool, dove è presente una piscina and it’s also possible to sky surf, rent canoes, archery and make boat trips on the lake. Besides there are many historical and religious villages and cities such as Guardiagrele, Chieti, Pescocostanzo, Sulmona, Lanciano and its “Miracolo Eucaristico”, and so on.The farming of Agriturismo L'Uliveto takes place on 10 hectares of land. Olive trees are the main resource, from which to produce an excellent olive oil and brine olives. Besides there are cereal and fodder farming for breeding of animals such as cows, which give good milk used for the breakfast or to produce cheese, calfs, chicken, rabbits, sheep and suines, the meat of which is cooked and served at the food court.Into the farmhouse there are 9 double rooms for overall 18+7 bed places, in 4 rooms it’s possible to add a pullout bed and in 2 rooms we can add 2 more little beds. One room is equipped for disabled persons, with easy access. Seven rooms are provided with personal bathrooms bagno and two rooms make use of a common bathroom (rooms Cluviae). We grant daily reorganization and cleaning of the rooms, and bed linen change every 3 days.On your disposal there are two big halls, one of which provided with fireplace and private kitchen and connected with three rooms where you can organize parties or holidays with friends autonomously, in the nature at the layer of the mountain. Although located in the very center of Italy, this village and the Park are still little explored and uncontaminated by the crush of mass tourism.
Residence Villa Valsi is the old home of our grandparents, which we have carefully restructured and divided into five comfortable apartments that open onto two large gardens. Each apartment is furnished with care and love of detail with respect to the traditions of the mountains of Abruzzo.
Santo Stefano has a unique and suggestive setting where one can still breathe the magic atmosphere of once-upon-a-time…
The streets and palazzi of the Borgo are rich with arches, logge, courtyards and doorways carved in late medieval and renaissance stonework. The skyline is marked by the great crenellated watchtower that dominates the village at its highest point and from which breathtaking views of the surroundings mountains and valleys can be had.
In the XV and XVI centuries Santo Stefano di Sessanio fell under the control first of the Sienese Piccolomini family and then of the Medici of Florence. Memories of their dominion are still present in the architecture of our town and most specifically in the shield of the Medici family prominently placed above the main entrance gate.

As enchanting as Santo Stefano is, in and of itself, the adventurous traveller wanting to see more, can take any of the roads leaving the village to find little known and magical places. These might be gifts from nature (mountains, valleys, unusual flora and fauna, spectacular views) or from man (castles and fortresses, medieval churches, ancient villages).
For those who are interested in physical activities, the area offers fantastic hiking, mountain and rock climbing, horseback riding, hang-gliding, kite flying, cross-country and downhill skiing, snow-shoeing. Although there are innumerable places to discover around this area, here we will suggest just a few particularly interesting possibilities :
Just 3 km. from Santo Stefano you can visit the Rocca di Calascio, which at 1500 m. above sea level is arguably the highest fortress in Europe. Built by the Piccolomini in the XV century as a watchtower to control the entire surrounding area, at least ten others fortifications are within its line of sight. Some may recognize the Castle from the film Lady Hawke starring Michelle Pfeiffer. From the top one can enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Gran Sasso.

Our farm, a part of the land around the Villa, is more than 100 hectares large (placed on the right of the Pescara river, on the hills facing the river and on the valley plain). On the hills there are 19 hectares of vineyard: Montepulciano, Cerasuolo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo all registered in the production list of D.O.C. wine (Controlled Origin Denomination), and also the olive-yard for the extravergin olive oil. On the valley plain we cultivate cereals, peas, tobacco, fruits and vegetables for agriturism necessity. We also breed chickens for eggs and meat, and sometimes lambs and pigs for the home consumption.

We have rebuilt this farm reproducing the harmony with whom it was immerged in the environment, using nowadays safety, functionality and ecological methods. Pleasant and sunny hills - LA SOLAGNA - overlook a beautiful landscape framed by the Maiella and Gran Sasso mountains, till to catch a glimpse of the sea. Nearby the old city of Penne that with its art, culture and history enriches a land which has always merged natural beauties and agricultural tradition.
We are situated on the green hills of Collemaggio, in Penne, a medieval borgo of the Abruzzo area, called Vestina, at a close distance from Pescara's beaches and from Gran Sasso's and Maiella's National Parks, and from their ski runs. It's a good starting point to discover all the wonders of Abruzzo, for a lot of people unknown, and at only 2 hours from Rome.
There are 14 beds in comfortable and wellappointed bedrooms. All bedrooms have a suite bathroom and an independent entrance.

The Agriturismo, La Vecchia Fontana, is an old stone-built farmhouse, situated on the borders of the National Park of Gran Sasso, with spectacular views of the valleys of Fino river. About 15km distant is the Lago di Penne, a WWF reserve and at Arsita ( 7km ) there is the Museo del Lupo, a museum dedicated to the wolf, one of the inhabitants of the National Park. Nearby you will find a reserve for the Abruzzese Chamois and the waterfalls of the Vitello D'Oro. You can also visit the Museum of M.U.T.A.C, at Picciano with exhibits of peasant art and traditions ( about 20km ). For the more adventurous, you can trek to the Cima del Rocca, and admire the spectacular views of the Gran Sasso, Monte Camicia and the distant Adriatic and much of the provinces of Teramo and Pescara. A stay at the Agriturismo is ideal for those seeking peace, tranquillity and relaxation in a welcoming, family atmosphere. In 2007, La Vecchia Fontana became an Educational Farm, having attained the standards set by the region of Abruzzo. We organize visits for nursery and primary school children to participate in the workings of the farm and see the various animals who live here. Animals such as Cattle, Peacocks, swans, goats, turtle doves, pigeons, hens, sheep, ponies, donkeys, rabbits, pigs, cockerels and various types of ducks. It is also possible to work on the vegetable plot aswell as help with the olive harvest and the varied seasonal activities. They can also take part in the making of pasta and bread. Contact us for a free quote for groups of children of up to 30. The Agriturismo sleeps up to 16 people, in five spacious, well aired rooms, with en-suite bathrooms and TV. There is also a double room on the ground floor for those who cannot manage stairs. We have recently added a covered terrace to the rear of the property, where you can dine and take in the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Beside the main house is a garden with play area for children, where they can play in complete safety. The house also has disabled facilities. The Agriturismo, Vecchia Fontana, is situated high in the hills, surrounded by woodland and farmland. The farm is run as a family business on about 10 hectares of land. Most of the grains that we grow are used for raising and feeding our livestock. Martock Area
On a hill overlooking the river (Colle di Marzio) were found the remains of a Bronze Age settlement (IX-X century BC).
At the mouth of the river had risen Truentum City, recorded by Pliny the Elder between the cities of the region V Picenum at the river itself, and given to Liburni. Strabo mentions it as the city that takes its name from the river Truentinus, placing it between the Cupra and fanum Castrum Novum (Giulianova).
After the Roman conquest in the third century BC, it was City Hall with the name of Castrum Truentinum. The excavations in the locality "Case Feriozzi" between 1991 and 1995 have unearthed the remains of the city, with a commercial district, which already exists in the second century BC and implanted the second regular town planning. In the Augustan period was extended to the mouth of the Tronto and Castrum Truentinum the Via Salaria.
It was a bishopric in the fifth century [4]. The city was conquered by the Lombards, probably after the conquest of Fermo in 580. Until the early century dell'VII certificates of attendance levels with timber structures and burials, whereas most of the inhabitants had to move existing centers in the inner, as a colonel (Civitas Tomaclara). On the coast, a settlement was known by the sources as "Turris to Trunctum.
In the sixteenth century near the mouth of the Tronto was built at the towers of the defense system built by Charles V against the Saracen invasions, which was built by the Spanish nobleman Martin de Segura in 1547. At the tower we went after forming a small village.
The town was awarded the Bronze medal for civil merit to the bombing of the country during the Second World War.

A few years ago we espoused the cause of biodiversity, because it allows us to offer healthy foods and to stand out from the many restaurants located in the area. Vegetables from our backyard combined with meat grown by small farmers Palombaro allow us to offer a high quality of raw materials and truly make it easier for the preparation of our dishes. Our forte is Vrache of Mule, first course exclusive Diver. We still can produce hams and sausages, in low quantities, also because we are not restaurateurs and farmers.
