The white and soft sands of Surfer's Beach, located about two miles away from Gregory Town, is the perfect place for surfing. On moving two miles towards east of the Upper Bogue and north of this town, you will arrive at the Glass Window Bridge. This superb bridge is made up of rocks and it provides a panoramic view of Exuma Sound in the east and Atlantic Ocean in the west. Do not forget to include the Cove Eleuthera Beach in your must-see itinerary. Located close to Surfer’s Beach, this beach has a private beach area for the visitors. If you take your path towards Hatchet Bay in the south, you will find a number of caverns. The biggest of the lot is simply known as 'The Cave'. The big fig tree out front is considered by the locals to be planted ages back by the pirates who intended to hide the cave of its valuable wealth they had stashed here. A weekend getaway to the nearby Governors-Harbour will be really pocket worthy. Check out various Gregory Town house rentals and choose the one that fits your budget and style.
The town comes alive during the annual celebration of 'Pineapple Festival' in the beginning of June. It is celebrated with pineapple consuming, and live music and dance performances. This area is home to some exotic quality tropical drinks and food that are available in an extremely warm setting in the local restaurants. Also, the shopping centers are in close vicinity to the various Gregory Town vacation homes.
