The 14th century Ightham Mote is one of the architectural gems of the city. This originally belonged to the Selby family from 1598 AD to 1889 AD. The architecture is simply splendid and a unique blend of style from the Jacobean to the Victorian age is noticeable. Also, the 13th century Old Soar Manor is another impressive site. A Roman Villa was excavated in the early 19th century. However, much of it got damaged during the digging work but a small bronze statuette was discovered that is considered to be an important symbol of Plaxtol. Most of the holiday cottages Plaxtol are located in close proximity to these various places of tourist attractions.
Plaxtol has a few good restaurants and shops that can offer a break to the monotony of traveling throughout the day. Plaxtol accommodation options come in a variety of price range and style. They can be somewhat pricey during the annual Plaxtol Music Festival, held in Sevenoaks. So booking in advance is highly recommended.
