One of the prime attractions in Strathpeffer, which draw thousands of visitors and local alike, is the annual Strathpeffer Highland Gathering. Locally referred to as “The Strath Game”, it takes place in the grounds of 16th century old Castle Leod, Strathpeffer, the home of the Earl and Countess of Cromartie. Events include Solo Piping, Highland Dancing, Running, Field Events, Heavy Events, Tug o' War, Cycling, Piping Competitions, 3 Pipe Bands followed by a fantastic dance performance.
