MECOSTA VACATION RENTALS

The centrally located Mecosta is where north Michigan begins with its vacation rentals basking in the natural delights of the north with its winding Muskegon River and plentiful forest trails. Lying in the Big Rapids area, Mecosta enjoys its spectacular golf courses and the county’s many lakes and also has thrilling winters with snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

The village is in Morton township with many lakes and the county’s Horsehead Lake has cottages, cabins and other vacation rentals on the lakefronts with their own boat docks for enjoying the lake waters with water sports such as fishing, canoeing and swimming. Muskegon River provides amazing kayaking and tubing while the lush forests make for ideal hiking and biking trails. The town is also home to many festivals and annual events of art and craft on Labor Day, Independence Day, among others; nearby Clare’s Irish festival of St. Patrick’s Day is another must-see in March.
