Summers find locals and visitors alike hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking, four-wheeling, scenic and wildlife viewing, horseback riding, and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of. Steamboat Lake State Park is just across the street offering premier fishing and boating to a full-service marina and swim beach. If fly fishing is your thing there are many nearby lakes, streams and rivers to choose from. Autumn is a gorgeous time in the Rockies with breathtaking scenery. Our Aspens tend to "turn" about the third weekend in September with the shorter days and cooler weather. Although Indian summers are frequent we usually have at least one early snow in the beginning of September, but doesn't stick! In winter, nearby Steamboat Springs Ski Resort offers some of Colorado's best skiing. All around Hahns Peak and Steamboat Lake you'll find a winter wonderland with over 140 miles of groomed snowmobiling and cross-country skiing trails.
