Our Aspens tend to "turn" about the third weekend in September with the shorter days and cooler weather. Although Indian summers are frequent we usually have at least one early snow in the beginning of September, but doesn't stick! In winter, nearby Steamboat Springs Ski Resort offers some of Colorado's best skiing. All around Hahns Peak and Steamboat Lake you'll find a winter wonderland with over 140 miles of groomed snowmobiling and cross-country skiing trails.
