Spring House is situated one door from High Street, in the very centre of town.
The house itself is light and airy with whitewashed walls and high ceilings. It accommodates up to 6 people in two queen and a twin bedroom. The house has a large living room with a bot belly stove, colour TV and video player. There is a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove and microwave and a large dining room with a Coonara type heater.
The highlight of Spring House might be it's original claw foot bath - deep enough to totally submerge yourself whilst the smell of lavender which grows in profussion, wafts through the french windows. It may be the close to an acre of landscaped gardens, dry stone wall and cobbled creek bed which in less drought sticken times merrilly runs through the garden, but for us it is certainly the original stables made who knows when from bush timber and corrugated iron.
On a foggy morning one can still hear the snorting and stamping of the horses long gone, waiting to get back to work on the streets of Maldon!
