"An ideal beach getaway" is how we describe our three bedroom and four bath vacation rental house Point O' Vue. Located on Winding Bay on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera, our house provides easy access to miles of unspoiled, virtually deserted beaches, including the world-famous Lighthouse Beach.
A boardwalk will lead you to the beach for sunning, swimming, kayaking, or walking for miles from our ocean view house. Tarpum Bay is the closest settlement to Winding Bay and is a good source of fresh fish when the fishermen return to the public pier each afternoon. You can also try your hands at fishing yourself - either in Winding Bay or with one of the locals who offers charters.
There is plenty to do and see in laid-back Eleuthera such as caves, reefs, small settlements and historic sites to explore. This Tarpum Bay vacation house is also near skiing, where you can experience the thrill of skiing down the snow-covered slopes.
Designed by the acclaimed Nassau architect, Michael Alexiou, this 3,100 square foot Tarpum Bay beachfront home offers a host of amenities such as designer furnishings, private boat dock, balcony and fully equipped kitchen. It features a master bedroom with king size bed and sliding doors to the front verandah in ground floor and two large bedrooms, each with two twin beds on the second floor for six sleeps. Each bedroom has a private 4-piece bathroom and dressing/storage area and outside access to verandah or deck.
The views of Winding Bay are spectacular from the front verandah, which runs the length of the house and offers a wonderful location for meals al fresco around the large teak dining table or simply relaxing and enjoying the warm Bahamas breeze in one of the comfy lounge chairs.
The main living area of the Tarpum Bay rental home is open-plan, with 25' cathedral ceilings and sliding glass doors to both the front and back verandah. It also offers plenty of seating and an entertainment center with satellite TV, VCR and CD player and games.
With panoramic ocean views, proximity to the beach and all the facility, our waterfront home for rent in Tarpum Bay is a wonderful place for all ages.
