   JASPER VACATION CABIN RENTAL DESCRIPTION :
 
There are currently three hand-crafted log guest cabins at the 'Escape, each 480 sq ft and visually isolated in order to enhance guest privacy. Each cabin is equipped with a queen-sized bed, sofa (1 cabin) or double fold-down futon (2 cabins), rocker chair, wood burning stove, full bath (tub/shower unit with hot and cold running water and indoor plumbing!) and double propane burner for complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Nestled amongst the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies, we offer year-round, nature-oriented activities such as hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, whitewater rafting, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We cater to folks looking for a quiet, scenic and non-touristy spot from which to enjoy our mountain environment.

  Because we are in a relatively remote wilderness location, there is no cooking allowed in the cabins. Instead, I serve family-style, hearty and wholesome meals from a central cook house. Dietary preferences can be accommodated.

  ATTRACTIONS :
  Right from your cabin doorstep, there are numerous hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails. Horseback riding and canoeing are available at nearby Rock Lake (7 km) and whitewater rafting is done near Grande Cache (90 km).

  AIRPORT INFORMATION :
  Closest airport: Edmonton International; 370 km to our southeast. Take the modern, 4-lane Highway 16 west from Edmonton to Hinton, Alberta, for 300 km. Turn north on Highway 40 North just west of Hinton, towards Grande Cache and continue for approximately 40 km. Turn west on the Rock Lake Road (gravel, narrow and winding) for 26.5 km to the Rocky Mountain Escape sign. The cabins are at the end of our 3-km trail. 'Escape transportation is recommend during our snow season.
