Harbour House in Bol, Croatia is a dream villa
set in a idyllic location on Bol Harbour, quite
simply perfect for a beach holiday as Croatia's
most famous beach, and the local diving
centre are nearby.
The house comprises two large bedrooms with
king-size beds. A well-furnished terrace sitting
room also contains a comfortable sofa-bed that
opens into two full-size single beds, one sliding
out from beneath the other.
This room leads onto a spacious terrace with a large circular table cedarwood table with a lazy susan in the
middle, six reclining chairs and a large parasol. From the terrace you have panoramic views of the sea and the harbour.
The house is massively built of Brac stone [the White House in Washington is constructed of this], has plentiful china, kitchen utensils and bed linen, and is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, barbeque and fridge/freezer. In the kitchen is a large cedarwood table with 6 chairs.
It also has satellite and terrestial TV.
Close to the house is the local bakery and open-air farmers' market. There are many little bars and restaurants dotted around the harbour. In the hottest part of the day you can while away the hours in the harbourside cocktail bar with a planter's punch or rum cocktail or, if you are spending the day at the Golden Horn beach, you can retreat to the shade of the pine trees and sample a delicious barbeque at the beachside restaurant.

Sightseeing flights can be arranged from Brac airport. There is an area for naturists in a secluded spot on the Golden Horn beach. The lively mainland town of Split [built in the precincts of a Roman palace] can be visited by catamaran which leaves the small dock by the house at 6am, returning to Bol at 4pm every day. |

Upon arrival at Split airport you take a taxi to Split Harbour where you find the large Jadrolinija ferry building on the quayside. Here you purchase a ferry ticket to Brac (the trip takes one hour and is a really nice way to relax after your journey).
On arrival in Supetar, the pretty little port for the Island of Brac, you can hire a car at the car rental company on the quayside, or take a taxi (a 45 minute ride to the house). Roads are excellent on the island, and the island has a good bus service. |
