The apartment we offer is within easy walking distance of all the amenities available in Kato Paphos and the town is very safe and crime free. You will find the people are warm, friendly and helpful and 95% of the residents speak English. The island has the same electricity system as the UK and they drive on the same side of the road, so hiring a car is no problem. You can expect to pay 20 to 22 Euro per day for a 4 door saloon car including insurance, and petrol is about half the price of the UK., It is easy to change money at the banks or exchange bureau’s. The weather is always beautiful from May to the end of October, whilst the rest of the year the climate is still very temperate boasting over 300 sunny days every year.
Water sports are very popular and water skiing, paragliding and scuba diving are widely available at reasonable cost. Eating out is inexpensive and the choice is enormous - try anything from the traditional Meze to Italian, Chinese and Indian cuisine. Restaurants are to be found all over the town and a three course meal need not cost you more than 7 Euro to 13 Euro per person. There are also numerous archaeological and historical sites dotted all over the island and the beautiful alpine-like mountain district of Troodos, where the Tomb of Makarios and Kyko Monastery are situated, is well worth a visit.
