Dalegarth and The Ghyll Holiday Cottages, Buckden, are ideally situated at the head of Wharfedale, from which to explore the whole of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bishopdale, Langstrothdale, Wensleydale, and Swaledale to the north; Nidderdale and Coverdale to the East; Littondale, Malhamdale, Ribblesdale and Dentdale to the west and of course, Wharfedale itself, running southwards through the village.
Set in a former walled kitchen garden, Dalegarth offers two types of cottage, each with an integral garage and central heating.The cottages, both Type A and Type B, feature a twin and a double bedroom, bathroom, fully fitted kitchen (including dishwasher/freezer) and a large lounge/dining room offering extensive views of Upper Wharfedale. The lounges include a three-piece suite, dining suite, and an additional fully sprung double divan sofa bed.
In addition, the Type A cottages feature a Sauna Room attached to the downstairs bathroom, and an en-suite bathroom to the upstairs bedroom. The southerly facing first floor lounges have a large double glazed sliding picture window leading on to a balcony with dramatic views over the River Wharfe and fells beyond.
