| Chulmleigh is a picturesque village perched on a hill in the heart of the Devon countryside with panoramic views across the rolling hills and woodlands. The village itself has everything you need; from a convenience store, greengrocers and buchers to an Indian restaurant, Bistro and 3 cosy bars to choose from.
There are many activities and leisure facilities close by to ensure you have a fantastic holiday including fishing, walking, horse riding and golf. There is easy access to Crediton and Barnstaple just a 20 minute drive away and a further 10 minutes will take you to either the historic town of Exeter or the dramatic North Devon Coast.
The Little Dart River, runs through Chulmleigh and keen birdwatchers can spot herons, kingfishers, cormorants, goosanders and dippers. In the summer months chiffchaffs, tree creepers and wood pigeons are abundant in the woods, whilst wrens and yellowhammers nest in the hedgerows. The soaring buzzard prefers the wooded areas and open fields. |
