Nesfield is in an idyllic rural location on the edge of the Derbyshire village of Barlow in the Peak District Border Country. Barlow is famous as having one of the oldest traditions of well-dressing in the county and is a typical small village of this area with plenty of good pubs, a tea-room and gift shop and a very old church, the church of St. Lawrence.
