Apple Wood Cottage is situated in the small Northumbrian hamlet of Swarland. It sits in one third of an acre of orchard and grass, and was recently refurbished to a high standard. It is a bright and spacious single story dwelling, which has been tastefully decorated.
There is a magnificent view from the elevated lounge, which affords a view of the rolling Northumberland countryside, right down to the sea. The tranquil surroundings are perfect to recharge your batteries, and Apple Wood Cottage makes a perfect base to explore the historic region of North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
There's just bags to do, but if you fancy a relaxing night in you'll have everything you need. There is central heating throughout, which is oil fired. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine, and there is a TV, DVD player, video, and CD player in the living room. The spacious living dining room opens out onto the garden orchard.
The family bedroom has a double and a single bed, ideal for young children staying with their parents plus there is a separate twin room too.
The bathroom has a bath, a separate shower, basin and toilet, plus there is an additional cloakroom with a toilet.
All linen, towels, heating and electricity are included in your stay, and a cot and high chair are also available on request. There is seating outside in the enclosed garden, a BBQ, and ample parking. There is a local shop four minutes walk away, a Golf Club with a bar and restaurant five minutes walk away, and a pub with restaurant two miles away.
