Set amid open country near Whitby, Beckwith House offers superb views from every room. This former Edwardian children’s home has a large and sunny sitting room with French windows that open onto the south facing patio and large garden.
Suitable for six guests, our well furnished 3 bedroom house near Whitby is perfectly located for family vacations, being close to many attractions for all the family. Whitby and other coastal villages are a short distance away, golf courses and the Moors Steam railway are 15 mins and Flamingoland theme park is 35 minutes to name but a few.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms featuring one double bedded and two twin bedded rooms. A cot and an extra bed are available on request. Each of the bedrooms affords superb views to either Danby Dale to the south or the Esk Valley and the open Moors to the north. Also, there is a bathroom with bath, wash basin and WC.
Downstairs there is a spacious entrance hall and cloakroom with WC and shower. The hall leads to the separate sitting room, dining room and fitted kitchen.
Within walking distance, there are two village shops, an excellent bakery and a small number of pubs and cafes serving local food.
Your accommodation is equivalent to a three star grading from the English Tourist Board. A well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement and there is ample off-road parking for several cars.
