Vivienne and her husband John have done a fantastic restoration of both their house and its surrounding cottages, so you’re guaranteed a wonderful stay, whether it's a shorts break, bed & breakfast or self-catering, in smart, recently renovated accommodation. High standards are order of the day here, as Vivienne prides herself on giving her guests an exceptional experience – Including a freshly baked ‘apple pie welcome’, or information on local events.
Four star cottages are very well appointed. They both consist of a kitchen with all appliances including a dish washer a washing machine and use of a freezer; a comfortable sitting room with a sofa bed, shower rooms (River Cottage has an ensuite), and two bedrooms: a double and a twin bedded one. The two cottages have gas central heating and there are drying facilities for serious walkers etc.
