PONTLEVOY VACATION HOUSE RENTAL DESCRIPTION :

This picturesque stone house in the heart of the chateau country was built in 16th century for the chief clerk of the ancient Abbaye (11th century). The house is opposite the Abbaye which has gardens and ponds, a magnificent 17 century military academy, chocalate and early French aircraft museums. The house with four double bedrooms, two whole and two half baths, all new appliances and a gourmet kitchen was completely renovated last year. It is located in a charming village between the Loire and Cher rivers south of Blois. Nearby you can swim, boat, baloon, visit chateaux, wineries, mushroom caves, etc.

AT PORTE D’ITALIE TAKE A-6 SOUTH (There is A6a, A6B, etc it doesn’t matter, just look for A10 signs.) TAKE A-10 (Direction Chartres, Orleans, Bordeau) TO EXIT 17 to TRAFFIC CIRCLE #1- GO HALF WAY ROUND TO N252 (Direction Blois, Limoges) to TRAFFIC CIRCLE #2- GO 3/4 WAY ROUND (Direction Chateaux, Vierzon) to STOP LIGHT JUST BEFORE BRIDGE, BEAR RIGHT toward Blois Centre and go down a very long hill to road along river to 5TH TRAFFIC LIGHT and TURN LEFT ONTO BRIDGE ACROSS THE RIVER to END OF BRIDGE. TURN RIGHT –(Direction Montrichard) until PONTLEVOY—more than 22 KM to THE HÔTEL DE VILLE (MAIRIE) on your left. TURN LEFT ONTO RUE DU COLONEL FILLOU. PASS CAFÉ DE COMMERCE ON RIGHT TO A tall building at intersection with a tiny lane called Rue de la Cure. THAT (THE TALL BUILDING) IS IT. About 2 hours
