Peaceful family holidays in the traditional and unspoilt Greek village of Amaliapolis, near Volos, on the east coast of mainland Greece

The villa is located on the edge of a quiet seaside village about 7 mins walk from a sandy beach and the village centre. Simply furnished, the villa offers sea views, balconies to relax on and a large, shady, enclosed garden surrounded by olive groves. If you are a large family/group rent the whole villa, or if you require less space just rent one of the self-contained apartments.

The villa is subdivided into 3 self-contained apartments which is great for extended families or groups of friends. Alternatively if you are a smaller party you can choose just to rent one or two of the apartments at a reduced cost. Its location makes it an excellent base for touring mainland Greece, both classical Delphi (approx 120km) and the Byzantine monasteries of Meteora (approx 180km),or make fascinating excursions to the beautiful Pelion peninsula.

ATTRACTIONS :

	In the village centre you will find a choice of cafes/bars and tavernas, with excellent fish, three of which stay open all year, all within walking distance of the villa. The village also has two bakeries and two general stores. The beach is also within walking distance of the apartments and is sandy and gently sloping - making it very suitable for young children. There is also a children’s playground, 5-a-side football pitch and volleyball court next to the beach. In high season there are 2 beach bars. In summer Amaliapolis is popular with holidaying Greek families. You can experience the 'real' Greece here largely untouched by mass market tourism. Sit in the village square looking out over the sea and watch the world go by.

AIRPORT INFORMATION :

Volos airport(Nea Anchialos 15km)seasonal charter flights only. Otherwise fly to Athens or Thessaloniki then pick up a rental car or we can arrange for local taxi to meet you. Can also use long distance buses from Athens or Thessaloniki.
