Finca Chipitlan offers this service since March the 21rst, 2008. It got traditionally initiated following the ancient ritual for such a purpose. The very same Temazcal Master that ran the construction of the Temazacal celebrated the ceremony. As a strange and a bit of sad data the Temazcal ritual was supposed to take place one day before on March the 20th, and the Temazcal Master wasn't supposed to carry out the ritual but a loss in Finca Chipitlan's family delayed it one day. Temazcal Master got in charge of the event and as part of his opening speech said that even when ours was a tragic situation, Temazcal was meant to open during Mexico's spring solstice (March the 21rst) and he had to be the guardian of the tradition destined to give birth to a new "Old Mother" which is another way to call Temazcals or the way we called it, MEZTLI.
