The Villa in Akumal on the whitest sand and the best beach, is Casa de Acacia. It is a villa located in South Akumal, 2 miles south of Akumal and 60 miles south of the Cancun airport. The main house has three bedrooms and there is also a guesthouse if you need more space. Drink your margarita while floating in the pool, or have Maggie fix you a fantabulous meal. Her cooking is included for three meals at no additional cost -- you just pay for the groceries.
If you've had too much sun but still want to sit outside and enjoy the view, there are beautiful covered terraces both upstairs and downstairs. You'll also enjoy the terrific rooftop observatory where you can begin your day with a spectacular sunrise over the ocean, end your day with a fabulous tropical sunset over the jungle or later stargaze at the gazillions of stars, which are visible in the dark Caribbean sky.
The snorkeling directly offshore the villa is some of the best on the Riviera Maya. With a white sand beach to walk on, clear turquoise water to swim in and a view to die for, you'll think you're in heaven!
The entire upstairs of the villa is a huge master suite with bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. The downstairs is also self-contained with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and dining room/living room. The guesthouse ALSO has its own bed and kitchenette along with a full bath. You and your guests can enjoy a meal together in the large upstairs dining room, but if you would rather not face each other first thing in the morning over coffee, you can each do your own thing in your own kitchen!
