Casa Pozo in Zahora is the place to go if you want to return to the core values in life. You must experience Zahora to appreciate how unique it is when compared to other Spanish beachside locations. Small friendly local stores, charming bars and restaurants hidden away around the village all within walking distance of the house, wonderful natural environment so far unspoiled by man and of course the beach just a stroll from the house with its fine golden sand.
You can swim or body board at high tide and at low tide large areas of shallow water make it perfect for children for crabbing and learning to swim. On one end of the bay is a fine lighthouse set high upon rugged rocks. This marks Cape Trafalgar and it was off this point in 1805 that the British and Spanish fleets met in battle. It is now a national monument. On the other side of the bay is a ruined shepherds cottage now overgrown with fig trees but still a very beautiful landmark. There are only two other buildings visible from the beach. A lovely stone and thatch restaurant and a wooden beach bar. Zahora really is the perfect place to relax and unwind from the stresses of modern life and Casa Pozo is perfectly situated within walking distance of everything you need.On the ground floor the house has two double bedrooms, shower room with loo and basin, inner sitting area for relaxing inside, dining room with large sofa, kitchen with walk in pantry and at the front a furnished porch looking out onto its own private walled garden full of flowering shrubs. The garden has a real fire BBQ, a real shower and plenty of furniture for relaxing and dining outside. The first floor has a lovely bedroom with patio doors opening onto a large sunny terrace decorated with large terracotta pots and native plants. It also has its own shower room with loo and basin plus a small kitchenette and laundry area.
