This 3200 square-foot home is located in Pine Mountain Lake, a gated community. All bedrooms are supplied with bed warming mattress pads which are wonderful in the winter. The gourmet kitchen is completely stock with all amenities and opens into the great room with a sit down bar. Within the gates you can golf, horse back ride, swim, boat or fish. The main marina has a very large sandy beach with volleyball, boating and a snack shack. The town of Groveland provides all the necessary amenities - grocery store and restaurants, video rental and pharmacy. This house is a great base for many day trips such as: Yosemite, Hetch Hetchy, Lake Don Pedro, Columbia State Park, Tuolumne Meadows and Gold Country mining towns such as Jamestown and Sonora, where there are lots of antique stores. Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy have many hiking and biking trails.
In the winter skiing is available at either Dodge Ridge (about 1 hour), Bear Valley (around 2 hours), or Badger Pass ski located in Yosemite (2 hours). The outdoor ice skating rink in Yosemite is great fun.
