Ride, Relax and Celebrate in Mendocino Redwood Country

Highland Ranch is over 125 years old and has been welcoming guests for over 50 years. French, German, Spanish, Italian and even English are all spoken at the Ranch which attracts guests from all over Europe and the United States. Individual cabins and duplexes with various sleeping arrangements are very comfortable and clean. All cabins have king or queen sized beds, private bath, fireplace, telephone, covered porch with rocking chairs and daily housekeeping service. The 110 year old ranch house has an extensive deck overlooking the main orchard and welcomes guests for cocktails and family style meals. The living room is centered around a fireplace and includes an open bar and a card table. For meals, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood from Mendocino County are prepared in best European and American style. Sumptuous made to order country breakfasts and refreshing lunches. Full bar offerings and fine local wines are included in daily rate. Special menus including vegetarian upon request. Activities listed are included in daily rate: Horseback riding on 100 miles of trails through towering redwoods, open meadows, and along the Navarro River - rides are tailored to experience levels; swimming in the pool or lake, tennis (two courts), fishing, mountain biking, hiking or just relaxing in a hammock outside the ranch house. On-site clay pigeon shooting, massage, yoga classes and riding lessons are also available. A variety of indoor games and musical instruments including a piano, a broad music collection, and wireless internet access and satellite television are also available. Children are welcome with their families and thrive on the freedom to roam and the chance to try new things and go on trail rides or pony rides, swim in the pool, paddle the canoe in the lake, fish for catfish at night and generally wear themselves out coming up with new adventures for the next day. (Childcare is available and we have satellite TV and a collection of media if desired.)
