This view shows off the new deck which extends across the front of our home. Back in Fall, 2008, we connected the large deck on the side with the deck showing here.
Our dining room has a pass-through window to make serving and clean-up easier. You can step out onto the larger porch and see the river and woods. Our living room was our activity center when the children were little. A fire at night was delightful. Sometimes we all slept downstairs.
The playground equipment has been well used by a progression of children coming through our home. Sometimes we hung a hammock to keep an eye on the kids. Deer often came into the yard (and once we had a bear visit!) The driveway, which has stood up well to the elements was made by Larry Cone, a local contractor who also made the wood stove hearth. Our kitchen is small but efficient. (We installed a built-in trash container to save space.) Gas range -which I miss- all our homes since have had electric ovens. Best part is the pure and good tasting water straight from the tap. During blackouts, when the water system couldn't pump water into the tank, we rarely ran out of water since our home is at the bottom of the system.
