Our unit is only 150 steps to some of the most magnificent beaches anywhere in the US and better than many places worldwide. Watch dolphins swim by, go scalloping, kayaking, scuba diving, swim in the warm, clear waters of the Gulf, read a good book or just relax and watch the sun disappear into the Gulf. You will enjoy all the comforts of home is our fully stocked unit. To help make space in your car we provide beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, crab nets, floats, and a beach cart. We also have many items for small children like pack n play, high chair and booster seat. We always welcome pets and the Barrier Dunes community and Cape San Blas beaches are very pet friendly. Our beaches were just named #1dog beach in the USA by K-9 magazine! So bring the family and enjoy making some of the best memories ever. Barrier dunes is located right next to the St Joe state park which was ranked number one in the USA in 2002 by "Dr.Beach" Cape San Blas is a very unique and special place. It is a 20 mile peninsula that curves out into the Gulf of Mexico. Half of Cape San Blas peninsula is a wildlife park and you will not see any high-rises, apartment buildings, or strip malls here. The sand is blinding white and the water so clear that many days it looks like a bathtub. Dolphins swim just off shore as the sun melts into the gulf. There are so many sea shells that you can go for a short walk and not be able to carry them all back. Cape San Blas is also a bird watchers paradise. Great heron calmly walk the beaches in search of food, often right beside the playing children and sunbathers. The water is perfect for children as it is shallow and sandy right from the beach, but be sure to bring your fishing pole because you can fish for, stingrays, white fish, catfish and many other types right in the surf. The beaches of Cape San Blas are never crowded and are very family and pet friendly. Since the sun sets directly in front of you, you can enjoy the beaches until the very last moments of daylight. Often in the summer, you can see a wedding on the beach at sunset. Enjoy all of the comforts of home in our spacious nicely appointed gulf view town home. The parking area is large enough to accommodate two cars or boas and car. There is an outdoor shower and hose. The beach locker is in the carport and it is stocked with four beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach toys, pool floats, boogie boards, cooler, crab nets and a cart to get it all there. The main level has a living room with queen sleeper. The living room opens out to the large deck that overlooks a freshwater pond. The deck has an umbrella, seating for four, and electric grill for you catch of the day. The deck is gated for the safety of your pets and children.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would expect like pots, pans, and dishes, but we also provide many extras like crock-pot, crab pot, toaster, coffee maker, coffee, initial soap supply, trash bags, paper towels, and laundry soap. There is seating for 4. The spacious master bedroom occupies the entire second floor. The vault ceilings and eight feet of sliding glass doors make the room very bright and sunny. The king bed is very comfortable and there is also a dresser, nightstands and two closets. The television has a VCR and DVD player. The master bath has a double vanity, very large walk in tiled shower and a separate garden tub. The master also has a private balcony where you can relax and watch the sunset. Whether you call it Cape Sand Blas, Cape San Blast. Cape Sand Blass, or Cape San Blass, we just call it the Cape and call it home.
