Escape to our beautiful Agate Bay getaway, only 5 blocks from Lake Tahoe. Our newer mountain home has three bedrooms, three and 1/2 baths and a bonus room. Soak in the hot tub on the deck with peeks of Lake Tahoe. Walk to the Agate Bay community swimming pool or play tennis at the private courts during the summer months. There's even a sand volleyball court, too. All of this is included when you stay at our relaxing, well-appointed retreat. We are a dog-friendly home.
Enjoy the wonderful surroundings of Lake Tahoe in our gorgeous mountain home. It offers over 2200 square feet of spacious living space and two car attached garage with flat driveway for easy winter access. There is a newly remodeled kitchen with solid granite countertops, hardwood floors and beautiful wood appointments throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cook top, microwave, trash compactor and every appliance a gourmet cook could want. There are plates and flatware for over twelve. There is a large dining table that easily seats 10.
The well-furnished Great Room has a large river rock fireplace as a focal point. Enjoy music on the surround sound system or watch a DVD on the TV. Just outside the wood French doors on the private deck is our Hot springs hot tub with peek views of Lake Tahoe. There are teakwood table and chairs and a gas barbecue on the deck as well for enjoying the outdoor ambience. A powder room is off the great room.
The master suite is on the same level as the kitchen and Great Room. It has a comfortable California king bed as well as a 20 inch TV with cable and DVD, and private bathroom with a shower. There is a private entrance to the deck through French doors if you want to sneak out for a hot tub after the kids are in bed.
Downstairs is a lovely room with a queen bed and a small TV with cable. It is perfect a second master bedroom if two families are sharing the home. There is also a room with 2 bunk beds for the kids to have there own space. The downstairs bathroom has 2 sinks and a full bathtub/shower.
A private bonus room is also part of this spacious home. This is the perfect room to send the kids to watch there own movie on a TV with DVD/VCR and cable while the adults enjoy the great room upstairs. It even has a full bathroom with shower. There is also a queen sleeper couch if more sleeping space is needed. Our landscaped backyard is accessible from a sliding door.
There is a fully-equipped laundry room with large capacity Whirlpool Calypso washer and dryer.
Our home is centrally located 6 miles east of Tahoe City and 2 miles west of Kings Beach in the private Agate Bay neighborhood. Fine dining is nearby at Gar Woods or enjoy casual dining at CB pizza. There are many other excellent options as well.
Dog friendly Patton beach is nearby where kayaks can be rented in the summer. World class hiking, mountain biking, and rafting are nearby in the summer. In the winter, Northstar, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows are less than 15 miles away for downhill and cross country skiing.
Enjoy the other activities of Lake Tahoe including: SUMMER: mountain biking on the nearby trails or at Northstar, hiking (The Tahoe Rim Trail is nearby), water sports at Lake Tahoe (less than a half mile away) including kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming. Patton Beach is nearby where dogs are allowed (one of only 2 beaches on the north shore that allow dogs), and kayaks can be rented. There are many great golf courses nearby. The Shakespeare Festival is nearby at Sand Harbor. WINTER: skiing at many of the best ski areas in the world including Squaw Valley, Northstar, Alpine Meadows which are only 15 to 20 minutes away. Not too much further away are Sugar Bowl, Homewood, Diamond Peak, Mt. Rose, and Boreal; sledding, cross country skiing, snow mobiling, snow shoeing.
