two unit building. Full kitchen with microwave oven and dishwasher;

bedrooms, two and a half baths. Sleeps 6 in spacious comfort. Two-

one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. No streets to
cross, no driving, and no looking for a parking place.
A team of scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
judged the sugary powder at Siesta Key to be the “finest, whitest
sand in the world” during the “Great International White Sand Beach
Challenge”, a title that still stands today. The scientists studied
samples from more than 30 beaches around the world and declared
Siesta’s sand was made of 99% pure quartz.
Unlike most beaches that are made of crushed shells, rocks or lava,
this sand is pure white, and as fine as sugar. The ultra-fine
texture and dazzling reflectivity allows the sand to remain cool
underfoot, even during the hottest time of day.
At the water's edge the sand is packed and makes a wonderful walking
beach. The round trip to the far end of the beach and back is about
five miles.
But the water is what we really love! Calm and clear, relaxing and
romantic, the water calls to you for swimming, wading, and sailing.
A five minute walk down the beach takes you to a section where
Lifeguards watch over all year, and there are tennis, volleyball,
softball and food concession facilities provided. Water sports of
every kind add color and excitement to the Siesta Beach scene.
