This condo is directly on the Gulf. From the newly furnished lanai, you can see the open Gulf, the beach, the sunrise right out of the water, the dolphins swimming by in the morning, the shellers stooping over to pick up their shells, the three palm trees out front, and all the wonders of having the ocean at your feet.
Outside the gardens have really added to the landscape as well as the subtle lights in the palm trees and picnic area.
Inside has also changed: kitchen in our unit has granite countertops, new maple cabinets and fully equipped; bring your lap top as wireless Internet is here. The living room has a large HD TV that makes viewing almost 3 dimensional. The whole unit has new white large tiles as well as the lanai. The lanai has a padded lounge chair as well as padded chairs that can withstand the weather. The beach in front is famous for shelling and resting, walking and swimming.

On Sanibel, the Ding Darling is a preserve for birds and animals. You can drive through this park or take an open trolley ride. It is well worth the tour as they stop and explain the birds, the trees, the alligator, the frogs and the tides that come in and out there. There are also wonderful boat rides by Captiva Cruises to Useppa, Cabbage Key. The dolphins follow the boat performing. Useppa has the Collier Inn where a great lunch is served. This island was summer home to the moview stars in the twenties and they have kept it pristine and beautiful. Walk the pink path to see all the flowers, and cottages all decorated in the old Florida style. Restaurants abound here as well as all the island gift shops. Bike paths are all over the island with 3 preserves to visit for your enjoyment. Fishing is also done from the fishing pier as well as right out front on the beach. Children love the beach and fishing and are very welcome here. |
