This ohana (mother in law apartment) is located on the main floor of our single-family residence in a quite residential neighborhood. My wife and I live a quite, relaxed, semi-retired life style upstairs. Just a block off of Ali’i Drive makes it an short walk to the two most popular beaches in Kona, Magic Sands and Kahalu’u (Turtle Beach). Swimming, diving, surfing, walking, running or just laying around relaxing in the sun on the private deck next to the pool. The hot tub is situated next to the Koi pond and water falls, under the shade of a beautiful old mango tree (fresh mango in season June/July). The Koi can be hand fed. The pool, hot tub, deck area, BBQ and regulation horseshoe pit, are for your exclusive enjoyment. The grounds are covered with numerous varieties of tropical plants, cactus, and banana plants, peppers Aloe Vera (great for sunburns). We also provide several beach chairs, small and large coolers, bogey boards and an assortment of fins, masks and snorkels. I also have an easy riding long board if you feel you would like to try out the "surfing" scene. We will be handy if you have any questions but will otherwise be as non-intrusive as possible.
Four and one half miles to Kona town. Two miles to Keauhou Shopping center with a grocery store, multi-plex theater, take-out and sit down restaurants, post office and numerous shops. A ninety scenic mile drive to the Kilauea Volcano National Park.
Secure garage storage/work shop area for bicycles and surfboards. High-speed WIFI. Towels, Coolers and 2-Beach Chairs, 2-Body Boards, included at not extra charge.
Do to rising electricity cost we have had to add a $50 per week sur-charge on hot tub use.
