The talent of our local craftsmen is apparent as soon as you step through our double-door front entry and walk on our custom flooring. Cut from a 40-year-old stand of robusta eucalyptus trees here on the slopes of Mauna Kea, the flooring has a rich, reddish brown color, effusing the house with elegance and grandeur.

The placement of the house on the private, 1 acre lot was specifically chosen to take advantage of the cooling effect of the tropical trade winds that blow consistently on this side of the island. Each room has its own ceiling fan to help circulate the air during our sunny days and balmy nights. Each bedroom is designed to be extra spacious, with plenty of room for extra guests to roll out a sleeping bag.

The custom design of our vacation home was inspired by our island's spirit of ohana (family). The importance of family in our culture is demonstrated with the use of the "great room" as a center of family life, and which you will find in the design of our Hawaii vacation rental. Our spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances, stocked with everything you need to make yourself feel at home, is open to the rest of the main family living area and represents the traditional importance of food and sharing with others that is found in the Hawaiian culture.

Located in Hawaiian Paradise Park, a bedroom community 20 minutes from historic Hilo town, we are conveniently located close to all the major attractions on the East side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Snorkel the Kopoho tide pools, bask in the thermally heated hot pond of Ahalanui, or hike to the lava flows of Pu'u O'o, which has been erupting continuously since 1982.
