Arriving at the house via the upper road, here is the driveway and parking area. The truck you see here is a full-sized Ford F350 crew cab pickup. There is room for a few cars/boat trailers here for more normal-sized vehicles. Vehicles can be parked in the long driveway as well but, of course, that blocks the rest of the vehicles in.
Driveway in winterWe do rent the house all year round but, as you can see from the picture on the right, winter snows might be a problem for some folks. The snows usually don't stick on the ground until after Thanksgiving. This picture was from January of one of the heaviest snow seasons in many years. My F350 manages the snowy driveway just fine.
From the parking area at the bottom of the driveway, you can see the main entry to the house, the edge of the balcony, the lake and Honeysuckle Beach across the bay. In the parking area, trailers can be stored off of the road safe and out of the way.
Entering the house, the open floor plan is visible. Both the upper and lower levels have an open layout which works well for large groups. The kitchen is on the right, living room ahead, bedrooms down the hallway to the left. Stairs to the lower level are out of sight to the left.
The kitchen has the usual stuff like pots and pans and place settings for up to 12 people. There are 2 conventional ovens, a microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and the usual cooking items you'd find in a standard kitchen.
