BROOK SONG is a charming woodland guest home set overlooking Hatlem Creek and surrounded by extensive perennial flower and vegetable gardens where you will be invited to share the abundance. If you are looking for a romantic retreat or a family adventure, this is the place. The guest home was built handicap accessible and is completely equipped for your convenience and comfort. It is pet and smoke free. Brook Song is a three bedroom and two bathroom home with quality modern and antique furnishings. We trust you will find it sparklingly clean, light and somewhat whimsical.
Abundant wildlife, birdsong, trees and flowers will relax and entertain you from the decks and balconies surrounding the home. Relax on the east deck under the roof and skylight with your morning breakfast or walk down the path and steps to the creek overlook and listen to the small waterfalls. A deer may go wandering by below.
Brook Song borders the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park. It is six miles from Glen Arbor, 20 miles from Traverse City, and 0.7 miles from Big Glen Lake. Empire is also six miles away. Maple City is about 8 miles away. Interlochen is about an hour drive away. Brook Song offers convenience to desirable locations, but it is still quiet and secluded on 42 + acres.
When you arrive, you will find freshly baked Wood Song Cookies (owner's recipe) and a garden fresh bouquet of flowers. If you have allergies to these, please notify us!
The kitchen is all GE Profile appliances-refrigerator, self-cleaning, ceramic top stove and oven with convection and conventional heating, microwave, disposal, and dishwasher. Beautiful maple cabinets, dining table and chairs, all kitchen linens, utensils, cookware, tableware, and antique China and crystal. Small appliances such as coffee maker, can opener, toaster, etc. are included. This is a complete and quality kitchen.
The one, open room also includes the living area with a satellite TV, VCR, and a DVD player. A family appropriate video library is available. The bookcase is stocked with novels and nonfiction. From the living room go through the French doors to the east deck and enjoy outside dining under the skylights or read in the shade on lounge chairs or enjoy dining on the west deck, looking at the gardens.
