Located minutes from Nevada City in the Northern Sierra Foothills in the tall pines, our spacious and comfortable log home is now available for rental year round. We are situated on five private, forested acres at 2700' altitude, just minutes from historic downtown Nevada City, and the spectacular Yuba River.
The main lodge has lare great room and kitchen, wood stove, three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The large loft has a queen futon and two twin beds as well as sitting area. The large master suite has full bath with double sinks, a pillow-top king bed and day bed with trundle. The second bedroom has two twin beds, and the third bedroom has a pillow-top queen bed. These rooms share a bath. There is also a king size pull-out couch in the den, as well as a wood stove. Outside o the wraparound porch uyou'll find plenty of seating a pingpong table and foos ball. Just off the deck is the new 6 person hot tub!
The large country kitchen has everything you need and plenty of room to fix a gourmet meal for a large crowd, or for several families to cook together . The large great room has a wood-burning stove, and a baby grand piano for those of you who know how to play. There are plenty of books to read or games to play and satalite TV, DVD/CD player. Central heat too.
There is a phone for local calls. This is a non-smoking property.
The cozy Baby Bear's log cottage next door is also available and can be rented separately or in addition to the main lodge. The cottage sleeps an additional 3 with a queen bed and a roll-away in the bedroom, a cozy livingroom complete with kitchenette and full bath. There is a gas hearth stove, cable TV and dining area. Some games and books are provided for your leisure. The 3 person hot tub is off the bedroo right next to the pond and waterfall.
