This historic house was built by Fred Rider, Esq. in 1883. The Honorable Mr. Rider was the Town Judge of Ellicottville in the late 1800's. Both his son, and his grandson named after him were also Judges of the Town of Ellicottville in the early to mid 1900's.
You will find that the house has retained the classic quality its founders endowed it with, while also offering premiere modern comforts. For example, flooring in the stairway pictured above is the original woodwork from 1882. It is made of Cherry and Maple planking. The baluster, spindles, and railing are all beautiful solid cherry.
The Ross Manor is a beautifully restored four (4) bedroom 1880’s Victorian home complete with hot tub for rent in Ellicottville, New York. It is centrally located on Jefferson Street between the Village of Ellicottville and the Holiday Valley Ski Resort.
This regal antiquity flows into the rest of the house, as well. The upscale bedrooms offer a comfortable refuge after a hard day on the slopes.
