Welcome home... to Memory Mountain Lodge. Located 3300 feet up Hogback Mountain near Cashiers, NC the temperature is typically 10 to 12 degrees cooler than Atlanta and 6 to 8 degrees cooler than Charlotte.
Built to look like a farm house, the Lodge has board & batten siding, front & back porches that run the length of the house, pine wood floors & bead board ceilings throughout the 1st floor and pine molding throughout the house. It even has the glass doorknobs just like grandpa's farm used to have! Dont't worry though, there are no old farmhouse drafts since the Lodge was completed in 2003.
Fairfield Sapphire Resort amenities are included. The resort is just 8 minutes from the Lodge with an indoor & outdoor pool, 2 whirlpools, 2 saunas, an exercise facility, putt-putt golf and tennis.
Like the outdoors? There are 100's of spectacular waterfalls nearby -some with slide rocks & some with swimming holes. Choose from easy & strenuous hikes - and spectacular views such as from the summit of Whiteside Mountain between Cashiers & Highlands. There's fishng, horseback riding, kayaking, boating and lots of sites to see.
Rather spend the day shopping? There are numerous shops in nearby Cashiers, Highlands & Brevard... and points in between. Antiques, mountain crafts, art, and unique shops can be found in the towns and sprinkled about in hidden away places.
