This event is hosted by Fox-TV8 and celebrity weatherman Dick Goddard. The festival honors the fuzzly little caterpillar or woollybear. October/Nov is popular in Vermilion offering excellent perch and walleye and steelhead fishing with charters available from local marinas.
Explore Vermilion's Inland Seas Maritime Museum founded in 1947 and is the longest repository of Great Lakes Maritime Heritage in the world. It holds such artifacts as Great Lake Lighthouse lenses and Smithsonian artifacts from the Edmund Fitzgerald.
