The Tenant House at Shady Spring Farm was built in the 1880s as a residence for the tenant farmer and his family. This quaint two story frame farmhouse has been completely restored for you and your family to enjoy. The charming 1930s farmhouse kitchen with its 1935 GE monitor top refrigerator and 1911 Moffat’s Electra range will take you back in time yet allows you all the modern conveniences of today. A mahogany plantation desk beckons you to sit and drop someone a note while a flat-screen television with built-in DVD player, a selection of DVDs, cable and a wireless high speed internet connection are available when you choose to be not-too-far from the present.
The three bedrooms are appointed with antiques, each in a slightly different style. All bedrooms are simply decorated, inviting and comfortable. During chilly weather snuggle under the high-loft goose down comforters. Crisp line-dried linens will welcome you when weather permits. A beadboard bath with a mahogany sink base boasts a full size tub and shower. Time-worn wooden floors shine throughout the home.
The Tenant House at Shady Spring Farm is completely private with its own circular drive yet allows for easy access to the farm. Feel free to walk the private lane or stroll the grounds of Shady Spring.
