4 bedroom ranch high on the mountain, just 6 miles outside of Woodstock, beautiful sunrises and views, large swimming pond, trails that connect to the Appalachian Trail that connects to our cabin on the tip of the mountain which is on our property. Master bedroom suite is as large as the other 3 bedrooms combined and is at the opposite end of the home. MBR has queen, gas fireplace and private sun-porch, 3 guest rooms with, bedroom # 1 is king bed with loft for kids, bedroom #2 double bed, bedroom #3 bunk beds for 2, 3 full baths with nice linens and towels.
Kitchen is fully equipped for those that like to cook, dinning room with cozy fireplace for nice intimate dinners for the whole family to join in, seats 8, living room with very comfortable sofas and fireplace for relaxing, sun porch off dinning room has sofa and gas fireplace for a quiet retreat.
Their is a big good quality gas grill on the deck and an outdoor fire pit for long evenings when it is cool.
Pond is nearly 5 acres and is wonderful to swim in when its warm. The mountain top cabin is a quick 15-20 minute walk from the house and affords a 360 degree panaromic view of Vermont and local mountains such as Killington, Ascutney, Okemo, and sightings of Mt. Washington on clear days.
Barnard, Vermont has one of the best small town general stores for goodies, sandwiches, breakfast and even prepared foods, the Barnard Inn prepares dinners that I would have anyday (for the price and at 5 minutes away) the Cesar salad is fantastic, great steaks and wonderful rare tuna, terrific pasta. Woodstock town has loads to choose from also.
