The Upper Hideout is nestled amid a grove of tall pines up in the big horn mountains. Because of the remote and high altitude location,it is accessible by horseback only after the snow pack has gone away, usually not until mid June. Visitors and supplies are packed in and out overland during the summer and fall until heavy snow accumulation.
