A few words about our hotel. machalas (the Small Neigh-borhood ), unique in Central Zagori, is a complex built in 2005, predominantly with wood and hand-hewn stone, in the difficult craft of dry stonework and in keeping with the architectural tradition of Zagori. It comprises eleven independent apartments (eight single-spaced of 40m2, two 40m2 suites and one double spaced suite of 60m2), which can accommodate up to four people. Each apartment has internet, a fireplace (free wood provided), a cooker, refrigerator, independent heating, TV (with Nova), dvd player, slippers, hair dryer, cosmetics, hydromassage or Jacuzzi. Massage, pedicure and manicure services, hairdressing by appointment. The complex is built within a 2000m2 garden and is ideal for receptions, weddings etc. ROOMS: Each apartment has a fireplace (free wood provided), a cooker, refrigerator, independent heating, TV (with NOVA), dvd player, slippers, hair dryer, cosmetics, hydromassage or Jacuzzi. Massage, pedicure and manicure services, hairdressing by appointment. FACILITIES: The complex is built within a 2000m2 and is ideal for receptions, weddings etc. Breakfast is served buffet style and, in the evenings, drinks can be enjoyed by the fireplace. Some apartments provide facilities for disabled people. The central village of Kipi, close by, facilitates travel to all of the villages in Zagori. Visitors have easy access to hiking, mountain climbing and other outdoor activities. In the family tavern Stou Michali (badge of Quality Greek Cuisine), operating since 1997, one may enjoy traditional dishes, the famous pies of Zagori as well as tasty game prepared by the hands of mrs Athena. The hotel and tavern are open throughout the year and, within the settlement, there is a bakery, a grocery and a pastry shop. Tobacco products are also for sale.

This is one of the 46 still occupied Zagoria villages in the Epiros, situated in the north western region of Greece, 35 kilometres north of Ioannina.This pleasant hotel was built in 1850 as a doctor’s residence and was later used as a girls’ school. It has eight spacious, tastefully furnished rooms. Each room has been named after a famous mountain top in Greece. During the restoration of the building, the original character has been preserved as much as possible. Fretwork ceilings dating back 150 years still adorn the entrance and can also be found upstairs. All rooms have a shower and toilet (2 rooms have a Jacuzzi bath) and most of the rooms also have a fireplace. All the rooms in our hotel are named after famous mountaintops in Greece.
