Sand-X is located in the lower Hillsborough on the beautiful Hillsborough Bay in Carriacou. The beach house offers two apartments, with each apartment having two bedrooms and sleeping four (4) adults with the main bedroom having its own private balcony. Upstairs Apartment/ Sand X Downstairs Apartment/ Sand X Carriacou: Carriacou, part of the Tri-island state of Grenada, is the largest of the Grenadines, with an area of 13 square miles, is situated at 12 29’N and 61 28’ W. The island stretches from Pegus Point in the south to Gun point in the north and it is about 16 miles long. It lies between the countries of Grenada and St. Vincent. The widest part of the island is about 5 miles. The average temperature is between 27 and 30 degrees Celcius. Hillsborough, is the only port of entry and town of Carriacou. Hillsborough’s museum, housed in a restored cotton gin mill, gives and interesting history of the different groups who settled here. Off Hillsborough there other small Grenadines islands: Union Island, Mabouya, Jack Adam and Sandy Island which offers great opportunities for snorkeling, picnics and diving.

Grenada's average daily temperature of 31° C (87°F) combined with a sea breeze is very suitable for spending a relaxed Caribbean holiday. Our sandy beach is kept clean and bathing is safe for children with good swimming and offshore reef protecting it. Your hosts Iris & Bruno, know the island well. They can suggest interesting trips to explore Grenada. You can visit picturesque towns (St George’s around the harbour is reckoned to be the best in the Caribbean), see how the island's spices are processed, and tour an organic chocolate factory. For those interested in snorkeling, apart from snorkeling around Cabier’s reef, Bruno will help you explore the still pristine reefs on our east coast. We can organize sailing tours (reserve when you book) and local boat trips. For the more active guests there is cliff top walking and many nature trails. Enjoy a nature walk with a guide and experience the unique beauty of unspoiled beaches, waterfalls (even swim in them) and the tropical forest with its cinnamon, nutmeg and cacao trees with colourful birds and butterflies. Bruno offers cooking workshops for guests who are interested in Creole and Caribbean cuisine. For those interested in diving and exploring Grenada’s reefs and wrecks, we have an arrangement with ScubaTech PADI dive shop at Prickly Bay where you can also take lessons. In this still undeveloped part of the island you can have friendly contact with local families and enjoy ‘liming’ on the beach with them at weekends, even joining in with West Indian style beach cricket or go up the road to Crochu cricket club and watch a game. There is Wireless LAN Internet access in the lodge and Two Bays, room safes in all our guestrooms, laundry facilities, games, taxi service and sightseeing tours starting directly from the Lodge.

Our apartments are situated at Golf Course Heights, in Grand Anse, just 3 minutes drive from the famous Grand Anse Beach.This apartment has two bedrooms and a large sitting room/diner with free standing fan, WIFI and cable TV open into the fully fitted and equipped kitchen. Gas stove, microwave, coffee maker etc. Both bedrooms have twin beds which can be configured as King Size. They also have wardrobes and drawers/dressing tables.Both have ceiling fans. Shower room plus a utility room with washing machine, ironing board, iron etc. It has its own private veranda with table and chairs overlooking the tropical gardens and Golf Course.

Humming Bird Cottage, like the Apartments, is situated at Golf Course Heights in Grand Anse just 3 minutes drive from the famous Grand Anse Beach.Humming Bird Cottage is detached and on two floors. Total square footage is 444. The vine on the Cottage is passion fruit which guests are welcome to pick at will.Upstairs there is a double bed, wardrobe and dressing table with separate toilet and wash hand basin. The sitting area has cable TV, WIFI and French doors onto the veranda overlooking the tropical gardens and Golf Course.Downstairs there is a shower room and fully fitted and equipped kitchen/diner, plus washing machine and a stable door leading to a private sitting area with table and chairs. There is a ceiling fan upstairs and free standing fan in the dining area. Plus you can use our 25x15ft saline pool in the main building.
