Average Temperature in Kihei is high 60’s to low 70’s year round. It gets little rain, with January being the wettest month, with an average of 3.4 inches of rain. From May to September, Kihei normally gets less than an inch of rain for all 5 months combined. Humidity averages around 80% in the mornings, dropping to 60% by the afternoon. Snorkeling at Kameole Beach Park III. Go early when the is surf calm. If you enjoy snorkeling or want to try snorkeling for the first time, take a snorkeling cruise to Molokini and make sure it includes a visit with the giant turtles.
Kihei is also the closest tourist destination to Haleakala Crater. A must see is sunrise on top of the 10,000 foot volcano. Numerous bike tours will bus you to the top for sunrise and send you down the mountain on a 38 mile sightseeing bike trip.

Golf Info in Kihei |
| |
Maui is famous for its world class golf with breathtaking ocean views. In Kihei there is a good public golf course, Elleair Golf Club that enjoys fabulous ocean views and whale watching from December to April. South of Kihei, in nearby Wailea and Makena are two world class golf courses. And about a 45 minute drive to the west are more world class golf courses in Kaanapali. |

Dining and Shopping |

There is plenty of shopping in Kihei within walking distance of your condo. You can walk for hours down Kihei streets hopping from one shop to the next. The largest Mall in Kihei is Azeka Place near the center of town. Kihei also has good grocery shopping, Safeway’s largest store in the state, a Costco, Kmart and Walmart.
There are lots of excellent dining options in Kihei, starting with a wide array of budget and fast food eateries that are favorite spots of locals too. Kihei also offers a good number of fine dining restaurants that feature fresh seafood and Polynesian delicacies. |

Getting Around Kihei and Maui |
| |
| You will need to rent a car to get around on the island of Maui. It is not practical to visit Kihei without a car because you will want to see all that the island has to offer. Please take caution when driving on Maui’s 2 lane highways, as they are fretted with head on collisions. Since drinking and driving a problem on the island, it is best to stay off the highways at night. |

Nightlife |

After the sun goes down, Kihei offers a number of places to get indulge in your favorite tropical drink. However, you won’t find much here in the way of live entertainment, dance clubs or night clubs. Lahaina about 35 minutes west is the location for you. |
