We call this estate Hale Koa which means house of koa in Hawaiian because we have almost exclusively used the rare and beautiful Hawaiian mahagony wood to furnish the home with. Known for it's exquisite beauty and hawaiiana feel, our koa furnishings will surely place you literally in the lap of luxury. I personally have travelled through much of Hawaii and stayed in many of it's fine hotel suites and luxury homes but known have offered an experience like this. The master suite downstairs features and all Koa sleigh bed with the most comfortable organic mattress on the market. We use organic materials exclusively for their environmental qualties but the added benefit is we find they provide the most comfortable and luxurious sleeping experience!The dressers, bench, nite stands, executive desk, chairs and picture frames are all made from top quality solid koa. No attention to detail has been over looked in the master suite. The suite is over 700 sq feet and has a very spacious open feel to it. In addition to these amazing features is the home theatre. The suite comes with a very rare 70 inch Sony HD tv that has no rival period in the HD display market today. Equally if not more impressive is the sound system provided. The drivers are all from the French audio geniuses at JM Labs! This sound system has consistently been rated in the top 10 worldwide by audiophile magazine and many others. It's so impressive that is is hard to find a movie theatre that matches it's quality.Upstairs we also feature all Koa furnishings. There are 2 king size koa beds with a 52 inch HD Sony LCD screen. This room features a ps3 if you are into gaming:). In the kitchen we have chosen top end stainless steel appliances by top names like sub-zero and dacor. The botanical gardens are very exotic and feature very rare plants from around the world. The lush tropical, private nature of this property makes staying here quite unique!It is peaceful, quiet, and very luxurious. You won't see any neighbors and they won't see you. It is a haven that soothes the soul. With the pool, the tennis court, the half basketball court, the volley ball court and the jogging path you won't want to leave. However if you do the beach is only a block away and the most amazing beaches on the island are 10 min up the road. The homes were built in Sulawesi, Indonesia, shipped over, and rebuilt in 1995. The glow of the Indonesian Chempaca wood exudes a warmth and relaxing, healing energy to the homes occupants.From the private entry into the upper gardens and lily pond stroll down the 300 foot long great lawn to the shoreline garden. Family gatherings, events, and weddings are perfect here on the great lawn with Kaneohe Bay as your witness . Hale 'O Bali is a uniquely beautiful, comfortable, practical, and functional house. We are located just off the main shoreline highway on the lush, tropical windward side of Oahu. Kaneohe town is an easy 12-15 minute drive. This town has all the conveniences of a small city. Bayfront 200 ft from shoreline. Non swimming beach: The waterfront is a 300 foot stroll down the great lawn to the beach side garden. Take in spectacular views of the bay, the mountains, and Chinaman's Hat Island. This non-swimming beach is beautiful and calm but too shallow to be practical for swimming. Closest swimming beach is 3 miles north at the calm and secluded sandy beaches of Kualoa Beach Park. Kualoa Beach Park is one of Oahu's top beaches and is safe for all ages year round for swimming and snorkeling.Hale 'O Bali is intimate and romantic, comfortable for 1 - 4 guests. This home is charmingly appointed in Indonesian and island furnishings. Above the master bedroom with King bed there is a loft appropriate for older children, young at heart guests who don't mind climbing a fixed ladder to their sleeping area with a double bed. There is also a very comfortable queen futon in the den. The full kitchen with granite and mahogany appointments, and teak dining area and sun room have beautiful panoramic ocean/mountain views.Great places to visit nearby: Three miles north is Kualoa Ranch which boasts over 4000 acres of ranch land and scenic valleys. King Kong and Jurassic Park were filmed here. Activities include horseback riding/trail rides, a petting zoo, exotic animal collection, fishpond tours, ATV tours, kayaking, and other activities including a restaurant. Within 10 min drive find:Senator Fong's Plantation, Hart & Tagam Byodo-in Temple is a replica of a famous 900 year old temple in Japan. Enjoy feeding thousands of Koi Fish in the large reflecting ponds in the Japanese gardens. The Polynesian Cultural Center is entertaining, educational, has an I-Max theater, firedancing competition and shows. Continue north on the scenic shoreline drive to famous North Shore's Sunset & Pipeline Beaches. Monster waves delight visitors in the winter months! Summer at these beaches bring calmer swimming waters and great snorkeling. Waimea Beach Park sparkles with it's amazing sandy beaches. Hike Audubon's Waimea Botanical Park.This estate is just off a sometimes busy road(Kam. Hwy.) and some road noise is audible from the houses. Hale 'O Bali is out in the country where there are insects and geckos(small, harmless, lizards). The houses are protected with a quarterly professional pest control plan and spot treating is offered if guests report any breakthrough activity. Occasionally termites will swarm and will be attracted to light. If you notice small ant-like winged insects flying about and entering the house.
