Cancellation Policy: HAWAII SHANGRILA VACATIONS CANCELLATION POLICY It is highly recommended that you purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance, since vacation rental reservations are typically made far in advance. Your Security Deposit is fully refundable after your departure minus any excess cleaning/breakage. In the two years we have owned ShangriLa, we have only twice to charge guests - once for a lamp that was damaged, and one guest took home 5 Handmade Bamboo Tissue Boxes ! There is a Cancellation Fee of $500.00 for reservations cancelled after the Deposit is received. If you cancel within 60-90 days of your arrival date you forfeit your entire deposit. If you cancel less than 60 days of your arrival we charge you 50% of the Rental Fees* *If we are able to rent your dates to another party for an equal or greater amount we will refund your rental fees, otherwise we will keep the difference and refund the balance. It is not our intention to charge you for dates not rented, however, please understand that once you confirm your dates we reject all other inquiries for for those dates. It becomes increasingly difficult to rent the closer we get to arrival dates as there are usually no seats available on flights less than 60 days in advance.

Rules: RENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS (Kona Shangrila) 1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3 P.M. HST AND CHECK-OUT IS 11 A.M. HST. No Early Check-ins. 2. This is a NON SMOKING home. Please restrict your smoking to the outside lanai and pool areas only. 3. Pets are not permitted in rental units under any conditions. 4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 5. RESERVATION/DAMAGE DEPOSIT- A reservation/security deposit check of $1000 is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met: a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in appropriate garbage and recycle bins, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. One load of laundry of beach towels is started. d. Keys to the top 2 floors are left in the ground floor unit and ground floor key is returned to the lockbox and all units are left locked. e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. f. No linens are lost or damaged. g. NO early check-in or late check-out. h. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement, the security company employed by My Complex. i. All pool mattresses and flotation devices are deflated and stored in bin.
