Kallisti: With 2 characteristic wooden windows carved on the wall which is 85cm thick, the man-made fireplace, the luminaires, the wood-carved door and the multicolored marble bathroom, the hours here are lost in the dream of your stay. Pelionides: We made sure that Nymphs, mothers of the Centaurs, decorate the ceiling of the room with the traditional fireplace, the unparalleled view and the handmade chandeliers which travel you to other times. Doris: A view at the dream, the place is simple but all the while rich in colour and feeling. The traditionally painted ceiling, the hidden lighting, the white marble bathroom compose a space that you won't want to part with. Let this be clear: Hostel Katerina is not just an ordinary hotel! It is the typically Greek mixture of a hotel and a room for rent: you rent a room and you are completely independent, but Katerina and the Fotopoulos family are always there when you need them.They can make your breakfast if you ask for it; if you don't, you can use the tables and chairs in the central place to eat the breakfast you prepared yourself. There are 2 larger apartments for 4 persons consisting of: Two sleeping rooms, each with a double bed or with twin beds, a spacious wardrobe, a balcony over the full length of both rooms, a kitchenette (with a bigger refrigerator, a boiling ring and all the necessary dinner-things) and a bathroom with toilet, wash-basin and shower. When necessary, one extra bed for a child can be added in the larger apartments, too.Social life in Hostel Katerina is concentrated on the central terrace. Most of the time you can find Katerina or her parents here. They live in the ground floor of the building on this picture; it isn't really the ground floor, a lower part of the house is accessible via the stairs on the left.Three guest rooms are situated on the first floor of that same building. On the right side of the first and the second picture you can see the beginning of the path leading to the asphalt road. That path is fairly steep, partly in the form of stairs, partly on rocks, and unfortunately not suitable for handicapped persons. At the other side of the central terrace you can see a glimpse of the second building of Hostel Katerina, which houses most of the guest rooms. The stairs lead to the two apartments and one other room. Under the stairs you see the beginning of a corridor giving access to five other rooms. If you go up the stairs you reach the entrance to the apartments. The entrance is at ground level, however on the other side of the building the balconies of the apartments are on the second floor.Hostel Katerina is situated above the quiet Papa Nero beach, and down the village of Mouresi, between Agios Ioannis and Damouchari, on the Pilion peninsula, at approximately half way between Athens and Thessaloniki in continental Greece. Agios Lavrentios - Hania:Either by following the track that links Agios Lavrentios to Hania, or accompanied by a guide who knows the old pathway, the visitor can walk up towards Hania, the peak of Pelion, reaching a height of 1,100 metres above sea level. The route requires the visitor to be in good physical condition and it does not exceed three hours. 3. Agios Lavrentios - Agios Vlasios - Agios Georgios:Following the pathway that used to link the three villages in the past, the visitor can enjoy an enchanting walk that does not exceed 2 ½ hours. 4. Agios Lavrentios - Kato Lehonia: The old pathway, unfortunately ruined in some parts, leads the visitor to the harbour of Agios Lavrentios, the coastal plain of Lehonia.
