| Each year in the months of September and October, the weekends see Big Bear Lake celebrating the popular festival of Oktoberfest. The festivities include the log sawing contest, stein holding contest, safe slam beer drinking contest, chicken dance, arts and crafts exhibitions, children’s activities and lots of delectable traditional German dishes and other contemporary cuisines. On Saturdays the price of the tickets is $10 for adults and $5 for children and on Sundays the tickets cost $5 for adults and free for children under the age of 12. On Sundays the cost of the ticket for seniors above the age of 65 it is $4. |

| Cinco de Mayo |
| Get into the festive spirit with the annual Mexican festival of Cinco de Mayo that celebrates the rich and colorful Mexican culture. Held in May, this festival promises two days of gaiety and fun with authentic Mexican music, food, drink and dance. Held at The Convention Center at Big Bear Lake, this special fiesta also includes exciting contests, children’s activities, arts and crafts, petting zoo and Latino dancing for the adults. Held on a weekend, the admission fee is $8 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. Both days are free for ages 12 and under. |

| Big Bear City Renaissance Faire |
| If you have ever fantasized about living a day of your life like a Victorian lord or a lady, then you must visit the Big Bear City Renaissance Faire. Relive the Renaissance period through this fair that covers a range of attractions including strolling entertainers, stage performances, handcrafts, joust, battle pageants, archery contests, Queen’s Court, Shakespeare Festival and a children’s area. The tickets are priced at $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and children and free for kids aged 5 and under. |
