| San Bernardino National Forest |
| Established in 1893, the San Bernardino National Forest was originally a public land which was set aside mainly for the conservation of natural resources like water, trees, wild life and minerals. Located in Southern California, the forest now offers great wildlife and bird watching opportunities. Hike through the many nature trails, or explore them on horse back. Pursue a range of activities offered by the park including camping, hunting, mountain biking, fishing and sightseeing. |

| Moonridge Animal Park |
Located on Goldmine Drive in Big Bear Lake, CA, the Moonridge Animal Park features more than 80 species of animals. The park also endeavors to teach the public about the habitat and survival of these animals through its exhibits.
Kids will especially love the educational programs and camps held at the park, during which they can observe the animals and learn more about them from the informative talks held. Overnight family camps at the park, group tours of the zoo, and special off-site education programs are the other events that can be arranged for a small fee. The park is open daily from 10AM to 5PM from May to August. From September to April, it is open from 10AM to 4PM Monday to Friday and 10AM to 5PM on Saturdays and Sundays. The admission fee is $5 for Adults and children above the age of 11, it is $4 for kids between the age of 3 and 10 and for seniors 60 years and above and free for kids under the age of 3. |

| Magic Mountain Recreation Area |
A popular tourist attraction in Big Bear Lake, the Magic Mountain Recreation Area offers fun-filled activities for the whole family through out the year. In the summers, you can have fun sliding down the cool water slide and end up in a splash in the pool. In the winters, have fun in the ‘snow play’ area of the park.
For through the year fun, the Magic Mountain Recreation area in Big Bear Lake presents the Alpine Slide, go-carting and golf courses. Enjoy an exciting and thrilling ride on the world-famous Alpine Slide at the Magic Mountain, which offers an authentic bobsled experience - the only one of its kind in the whole of South California. Have fun with go-carts. Enjoy playing golf at the 18-hole miniature golf course which includes water hazards and breaking greens in its landscape. Adults can either join the kids in the fun, or if they want to relax, they are welcome to bask in the warmth of the Florida sun on the sundecks and expansive lawns. |

| Located on the north shore of the Big Bear Lake, the state-of-the-art Big Bear Discovery Center is a place where the nature lover can spend several hours. With exhibits and hands-on activities on the natural environment, and the flora and fauna of the region, the Discovery Center is the perfect place to learn more about the wildlife and other natural reserves of Big Bear Lake. Get your questions answered by the naturalists at the center. Explore the area and go on hiking tours to see the wildlife in the region. In winters, you can take a 2 hour Eagles Explorer Tour to observe eagles. |
